Amman recently hosted over 100 experts and officials from Arab and Islamic countries under the Islamic Network on Water Resources Amman recently hosted the 11th Conference of the Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM), gathering over 100 experts and officials from Arab and Islamic countries to discuss "Working Together for a Secure Water Future." The conference emphasized water diplomacy, urging regional cooperation to address pressing water challenges. In his opening remarks, former Prime Minister Adnan Badran, representing HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, stressed the importance of collective action in managing water resources. Former Water Minister Hazem Al-Nasser spoke of the urgency for water diplomacy in the Middle East and North Africa, while Maysoun Al-Zoubi, former Secretary General of the Ministry of Water and Irrigation, highlighted the global scope of water issues and called for stronger coordination among riparian states. H.E. Dr. Marwan Alraggad, Executive Director of INWRDAM, concluded the conference by emphasizing the critical need to connect scientific research with decision-making to reshape water diplomacy in the region.
