Description

"The 12th International Symposium of the Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management was inaugurated by HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, who stressed the necessity for regional cooperation and holistic approaches to tackle interconnected challenges such as water scarcity, climate change, and energy crises. With a focus on human security in the post-pandemic era, the Symposium brought together over 150 experts, policymakers, and ambassadors from 30 countries to exchange ideas and success stories from the region. The event emphasized the importance of building climate resilience and adopting advanced technologies to address future disasters. HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan also graced the event, highlighting its importance in fostering international collaboration. Speakers such as Dr. Diaa Eldin Arafa and Professor Muhammad Chowdhury underscored the need for a united approach to addressing climate threats through scientific research and governance, while experts from Kyoto University showcased innovative flood management solutions.
