عقدت لجنة الزراعة والمياه في مجلس الأعيان، اجتماعًا اليوم الأربعاء، برئاسة الدكتور عاكف الزعبي، مع المدير التنفيذي للشبكة الإسلامية للتنمية وإدارة مصادر المياه الدكتور مروان الرقاد، تم خلاله الحديث حول إدارة قطاع المياه في المملكة.

وقال الزعبي، إن الأردن يُعتبر من أفقر دول العالم في المياه، ويواجه تحديات كبيرة في هذا القطاع، تتمثل بكمية الأمطار والسدود والأحواض المائية المشتركة، إلى جانب الحصاد المائي

وأضاف أن اللقاء جاء للتنيسق مع المنظمة حول ضرورة تنبي مشاريع ريادية، والنهوض بمشاريع القطاع المائي ما يؤديً إلى تنمية المشاريع الزراعية، وتشغيل الأيدي العاملة، والحد من البطالة.

من جهته، قال الرقاد إن "الشبكة" هي منظمة إقليمية تتبع لمنظمة التعاون الاسلامي، وتُعنى بخدمة قطاع المياه والغذاء والطاقة والبيئة في الأردن والاقليم، وتنفيذ بعض المشاريع المائية بما فيها الحصاد المائي.

وأشار إلى مشاريع تنفذها الشبكة، تبدأ من المناطق الشمالية الشرقية، والغور الشمالي، والمفرق، تصل نسبة تشغيل الكادر الأردني فيها الى 95 بالمئة، وتتمثل المشاريع في استغلال الفاقد الغذائي، ومشاريع منزلية، مشاريع زراعية ، بالاضافة الى مشاريع الحصاد المائي.

وأكد اهمية وضع خطط لتطبيق مفهوم الحصاد المائي، الذي يقوم على تخزين أكبر كمية ممكنة من مياه أمطار الشتاء، من خلال أبسط الطرق وأقلها تكلفة.

ولفت الرقاد إلى أن المشاريع الاقليمية لدى الشبكة تتمحور حالياً بين تركيا والعراق، الاردن والسعودية وسوريا ( مشروع حوض الديسي)، بالاضافة الى مشاريع بين السودان ومصر.

وجرى خلال اللقاء التأكد على أهمية تكثيف التعاون بين الشبكة ومجلس الأعيان في موضوع سرعة انتاج خارطة الحصاد المائي بصورة واضحة وليست صماء كما جرى انجازها في السابق.

وكذلك طرح موضوع إنجاز مشروع في قطاع الزراعة والمياه بالتعاون بين الشبكة ومجلس الأعيان ممثلًا بلجنة الزراعة والمياه.

 

The Agriculture and Water Committee in the Jordanian Senate held a meeting today, Wednesday, chaired by Dr. Akef Al-Zoubi, with the Executive Director of the Inter-Islamic Network on Water Resources Development and Management (INWRDAM).

Al-Zoubi stated that Jordan is considered one of the poorest countries globally in terms of water resources and faces significant challenges in this sector. These challenges include rainfall quantities, dams, shared water basins, and water harvesting.

He added that the meeting aimed to coordinate with the organization regarding the necessity of initiating innovative projects, enhancing water sector projects leading to agricultural development, providing employment opportunities, and reducing unemployment.

Dr.Alraggad mentioned that INWRDAM is a regional organization affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. It focuses on serving the water, food, energy, and environmental sectors in Jordan and the region, implementing various water projects, including water harvesting.

He highlighted projects being carried out by the INWRDAM, starting from the northeastern regions, the northern Jordan Valley, and Mafraq, where 95% of the Jordanian workforce is employed. These projects include utilizing food waste, household projects, agricultural initiatives, and water harvesting projects.

He emphasized the importance of devising plans to implement the concept of water harvesting, which involves storing the maximum possible amount of winter rainfall through cost-effective methods.

Dr.Alraggad pointed out that INWRDAM's regional projects currently revolve around Turkey, Iraq, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, and Syria (the Disi Basin project), as well as projects between Sudan and Egypt.

During the meeting, there was an emphasis on the importance of intensifying cooperation between INWRDAM and the Senate regarding the prompt production of a clear water harvesting map, unlike previous versions.

Additionally, the discussion included the proposal to complete a project in the agriculture and water sector through collaboration between INWRDAM and the Senate, represented by the Agriculture and Water Committee.
