INWRDAM's initiatives play a pivotal role in driving sustainable water management in the MENA region as part of Policy and Advocacy. We develop white papers, review existing policies, examine strategic frameworks, and advise on policies enhancement. Our advocacy activities aim to recommend best practices and innovative tools in sustainable water management and WEFE Nexus Approach. Leveraging our expertise, we provide insights and guidelines that serve as a foundation for decision-makers to create robust, resilient, and inclusive water governance structures. At INWRDAM, we are committed to leading the charge in policy change and advocacy, ensuring that water security and sustainability are integral parts of regional development schemes. Our WEFE Nexus Hub is the main platform and tools to advocate these results along with our regular Symposiums and conferences. Learn More About our Publications in Policy and advocacy.
One of our remarkable achievements in institutionalizing WEFE would be the agreement with the government of Egypt to establish a WEFE Unit with the Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation (MoWRI) as the focal point, mirroring the success of the WEFE Framework established in Jordan. We are looking at this agreement as a significant milestone as it demonstrates the scalability and adaptability of the WEFE approach across different national contexts. This initiative highlights the potential for regional cooperation and knowledge sharing, setting a precedent for other countries in the region to follow.
