The 13th International Symposium of INWRDAM, inaugurated by HRH Prince El Hassan bin Talal, brought together representatives from 25 countries to discuss the Water-Energy-Food-Ecosystem (WEFE) Nexus as a driving force for policy-making and regional cooperation in the Levant, Gulf, and Africa. HRH Prince El Hassan called for translating knowledge into policies that enhance human security and stressed the need for regional research centers and community involvement. Discussions focused on food security, energy and water efficiency, the impact of political conflicts on water resources, and the development of supportive legislation for renewable energy. Initiatives such as "Blue Peace" and the "Saudi Green Initiative" were explored, emphasizing the role of regional cooperation in overcoming climate-related challenges.
